Prana Flow is a style of vinyasa yoga synthesized by Shiva Rea. Inspired by tantric philosophy, this style awakens the body's intuitive intelligence, which naturally draws us into a more rich experience of the present moment. Prana Flow creates more balance and fluidity in the body, in contrast to static or rigid practices such as Ashtanga or Iyengar.

As we learn to trust our body's innate intelligence, following its impulse to move, our body's healing process is activated allowing us to grow, shift and transform. Prana Flow teaches how to expand the body's limits with compassion and creativity, increasing fluidity and decreasing rigidity in the body.

Prana Flow yoga not only heals and strengthens the body, but also deepens the awareness of self, and of the mind-body-heart connection. In this practice we approach the body with respect, compassion and an attitude of curiosity, learning and growing more than we can by pushing, forcing, or constraining our spirit.

Tantra teaches that in the awakening of the pulsing creative spark to move that lies within, opening takes the place of obstruction.
